A group of teenagers fight to protect a hidden ‘Oasis’ they discover in the forrest of the ‘Ridgecliffe College’
Tony, a troubled Indigenous youth just released from detention, and a group of disconnected teenagers stumble upon a hidden ‘Oasis’ on the grounds of their school. Here the pure land unconsciously sends a wave of positive change through each of them. When they discover the school plans to destroy the land to build a new technology wing, a mysterious revolutionary orchestrates a series of pranks as a call of arms. Each student is forced to overcome their own destructive view of themselves and decide to stand and fight for something they believe in.
Highlights Studio Recording coming in late 2019.
With a full Two Act draft and score complete, the work is preparing for a full production.
We believe the key demographic for this work to be young adults and above - but the work would appeal to any adult that enjoys the musical theatre genre. With a (current) cast of fifteen actors, including both white and Indigenous Australian characters, the score fuses rock’n’roll, gospel, blues and pop music, to create an energetic sound that drives the musical theatre genre into the 21st century.
